Debra is amazing!! I'm so glad that I got my bunny, Bunilla Ice, from her. She answered all my questions before I picked him up and assured me my rowdy kids wouldn't kill him. Lol. It's awesome to know that I can text her with any questions I have. It's obvious that she's more concerned about the bunnies going to a good home and are well taken care of then making a profit. If I ever bought another bunny it would definitely be from her!!

Debra was very professional and explained things to my daughter very easily. We could not be any happier buying a rabbit from her.

Debra, I wanted to say thanks for helping us have such a good experience buying our mini-rex from you. Thank you for being so helpful and kind, my son absolutely loves him. We've done everything you have told us to do, and "felix" is adapting to his new home and family very well. I will definitely call on you if any questions or issues arise. Thanks again for such a pleasant experience!

Just wanted to tell everyone how pleased we are with our bunnies from Debra! Debra made the experience wonderful for my Daughter! If you are considering a bunny.....you are on the right page! Thanks Debra!

Thank you Debra for our little darlings...You are so knowlegeable and kind...We will be a repeat customer for years to come...just fell in love with your healthy, perfect holland lops! Again thanks and Happy Hoidays:)

Debra,

We have some great news to share, Saunder's Ears takes best of breed at Jacksonville fair!  This is an ARBA show so he has one leg now.  He also place best of SR Bucks, and Best of Verity.  Jonah also place third in Showmanship.  I can not tell you how please we are with our little bunny we love him to death and completely didn't expect to have done this well.  As you know this was our first show and we purchased him to be a 4-H show bunny and boy was he.  I had people coming up to me before the show asking where did you get your rabbit and was proud to say from Debra Saunders you know Debra's Bunny barn in Middleburg.  It was awesome!

I can tell you that we are looking for a doe Holland Lop when you are ready and I will defiantly be a repeat customer!  Thank you ll Bradley and Saunder's Happy for great genes!

Also the Parade of Champions is this Saturday at 8:00pm at the Jacksonville Fair Grounds in case anyone would like to come out.

Sincerely,

Kia

 Debra,

Good morning.  I just wanted to let you know that the bunnies are doing great.  The kids named the broken castor Lily and the castor Buttercup.  They are super friendly and come when called.  Lily is a little escape artist and we had to modify the hutch to stop her.  Good news is, since they’ve been handled so much (thank you for that by the way) when I went outside and found her loose in the backyard all I had to do was call her and she met me halfway.  Thanks again for all of the information that you provided both in person and via your website and also for the very healthy bunnies that have made an excellent addition to our family.

Best regards,

Stephanie

Debra,

Many thanks once again!  We just love our bunny, he is funny, curious, affectionate and has a really sweet disposition.  When my son (3 1/2) brings his friends in Benjamin's room to meet him he says, "you have to be calm and talk quietly because he is a baby bunny and we don't want him to be scared".  It has been a great experience for Josiah because he is in charge of the food, water and hay.  Every morning when we wake up he drinks his juice in Benjamin's room (formerly...and presently my laundry room ;-) and he tends to him.  We also love having him hop around inside - it's so comical to watch him!

Kindest regards,

Traci

Hi Debra I read your comment section on your website and just had to add my kudos! :having raised Holland lops as a child I knew you were the right breeder immediately for us to get a bunny for my son. Wyatt as he has named our new mini Rex is doing wonderful and he is so confident and loving. Even my husband has taken to him ... So much that he has agreed to getting another one! Your bunnies are so friendly and loving... I would never buy from anyone else!

the above is from the Pratt Family!

We are thrilled with the beautiful, healthy little Holland doe we got from Debra.  Debra was also most helpful with health problems one of our other bunnies was having.  We won't hesitate to buy our next bunny from Debra -- her beautiful rabbits are clean and well-housed, and loved.  You couldn't find a better rabbitry anywhere!  Paula

Debra has the most healthiest and sweetest bunnies that I have ever owned.  I can't wait to get the newest member of my bunny barn.  All of her bunnies get along great with others and let my two little brothers go GaGa over them even though you can tell they don't like it much.  Right now I have Mini Rexes and they are like my own little puppy dogs.  I have had two litters of bunnies and the parents were from her, and let me tell you if you want to breed rabbits too, get your Rabbit from her.  You will NOT regret it.  Her rabbits throw the best variety of colors that I have ever seen in a litter.   Long story short...

            Debra's bunnies are the BEST!!

Kelsey

Debra,

I can't begin to tell you how happy my Daughter Autumn and I are with the 2 baby hollands we got from you. She named the black and white one Poppie and she named the broken tort bunny Pancake. I know!!! But it sticks! LOL They are adorable and even daddy loves them!!! Pancake stills loves to be held like a baby. THank you so much for all of your advice. You were right about everything. We will reccommend you to everyone.
You are so sweet and nice and you have had such patience with all of Autumn's questions and concerns.
Hope you like the pics. We will send more soon!
YOU ARE WONDERFUL!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

Thanks again,

DeDe and Autumn

 Hey Debra:
I'm not sure if you remember me. I purchased 3 polish from you in November (two blue and one black). I wanted to let you know that they were all entered in the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair and all won first place. Not only that but the oldest one (a blue) was even awarded Best in Show and Best in Breed. The judge wanted to take him home and I have had offers to purchase him. I, of course, refuse to sell him. But we are all so proud and I wanted to  let you know how they are doing. I will send you pictures of them with the students once they come back from the fair.

I also wanted to tell you that a couple of teachers have asked me where I got them. I will be giving out your information to them. Thanks again for everything. These little guys truly are wonderful!

lets just start with Debra has the best bunnies ever!
She takes absolutely the best care of her rabbits! I got my holland lop three weeks ago I knew right then I would soon get another. When I first pick up poppy (the first holland) she was so docile that it was hard to believe that she was a baby I imagined she was going to be jumping and squirming out of my hands, but no she was the best bunny ever! About one week together poppy became territorial and me and my mom both knew that if another baby was coming home soon they would have to get along. So I called Debra and she knew allll the answers!
I picked my other little holland yesterday and she has calmed down the other one!

If I can say to anyone that wants a bunny, please go to Debra you will have the best rabbit buying experience ever! Thank you for all your help Debra and your time taking for my questions but best of all thank you for raising some sweet babies!!!!!!

Autumn

She's doing so great. Getting very adventurous, spunky and giving Roger (the Holland Lop) a run for his money. I'll send you pictures as soon as I can get them uploaded. Thank you, thank you, thank you again.

Talk to you soon,
Shannon

Howdy my rabbit friend. How are you doing? Were doing well.Troy starts his job
on Feb.23. We've adjusted pretty good. Freckles did great on the trip and has
been an excellent pet and a new addition to our family, she's so sweet and
loving, she loves to lick you.We give her a carrot piece once a week and a
alfalfa cube the other week. I think she's become attached to me.LOL.. I just
wanted to write and let you know things are going well.

Hi Debra.  Hope you had a nice holiday season.  We got Pumpkin from you Oct 21st and he was so tiny, much smaller the the others his age.  Well, in no time he doubled and then tripled his size.  Right now at 4 months old he is larger than Prince Charming was at 1 yr old.  He LOVES to eat and of course carrots are his favorites.  He went for his first walk on the leash yesterday and loved it, plopping down several times just to lay in the yard.  Then there was the digging, which he loves to do in his outdoor pen.  He is doing wonderfully and the girls are very happy with him.  He fit just right with the family and although he can't replace Prince Charming, he is still as sweet and as loved in his own right.  Here's a few pics for you to see how he's doing.
Thanks again!
Angie, Abigail & Kailey

Hi Debra,

He is doing really good.  I was getting concerned because he didn't seem to chew on anything
but in the past 4 or 5 days he has finally started chewing on things.  He is such a loving bunny!
He likes to be held and licks all of us!

He didn't like being in the garage during the cold spell.  I felt bad but it was warmer in there.
We still took him outside on the porch twice a day to get sun and exercise.

Julie

She is doing great!  Lindsey named her Bella.  It's crazy how much she has

already grown since we got her a few weeks ago.  Lindsey has all the pictures on
her camera so I will have her upload them and then send you a picture!
Ashley

Great! Here as some pictures of Noah with my cat Oliver. Greg has pictures of Wilbur,
I will see if I can get them from him. Wilbur is getting very frisky.
Tina

Debra,  She is doing wonderful and growing like crazy. Her name is Eve and she does so well with the girls. She gets handled a lot so she is very gentle.

~Shannon

She is doing great… and has adapted really well with her new sisters!  Eating like a little pig… and growing! Thanks for everything… we’ll send pictures later…

Clay

He's doing well! We think he's so cute! He really responds to our voices & when we get up in the morning he bounces around his cage to let us know he's hungry. His name is Dexter.           Thanks, Dena

He is doing great.  He's eating and drinking as he should and already looks bigger.  My son (and I:)) hold him all the time and he's very 'mellow', not to mention adorable.  Thank you!
We might be contacting you in the near future regarding another one.

Heidi

We are in LOVE with the bunny. She is so good- loves being cuddles and held and loves hopping around free in our backyard as well (does LOTS of binkys).

Renay

Hey Debra: They are so cute. My students have had a chance to choose and name the bunnies.
I'm going to tell you the names, but please remember that these are middle  school kids.
The oldest blue is named Big D (they wanted Big Daddy, but I said  no), the younger blue is Clues
(as in Blue's Clues), and the black one is  Twilight (as in the books - they were dying to name him Edward or Jacob but that  was a bit much). So far they are all still getting along fabulously, they will  be splitting up later this week. Also, they are doing very well with the food.  They will be eating only our food by Thursday.
They are still at my house, but  will be going to school soon. The urine is still a bit red, but it is clearing  up. They are even fine with me petting them and have been liking my fingers. So  far all is going great. I also filled out and sent the contracts to you. You  should get them by Thursday at the latest. I'll keep you posted and will send  pics once they are in my classroom.   Monica

He's doing awesome.  Growing like a weed.  I'll take a pic and send you.  He came thru his neuter surgery well.  Got him a huge Bunny Condo cage that I built, he loves it.  Have him an expen that he runs around in daily in the backyard and he's all over the house in here.  The dogs adore him, my grandaughter adores him, I adore him, pretty much think he adores us.  All is wonderful.  Thank you for my precious baby boy! Love, J

 Dear Debra,

Hi. Oh the bunnies are just so adorable. They are doing great. They are in here with me right now. :) They were scared at first, but they seem to be relaxed right now.
They are both so friendly and love to be held. They are so soft. They are just the cutest little things. We love them so much. They are just darling.  The little girl is named Trinket. Allison hasn't named her boy bunny yet. Both are just so wonderful. We couldn't be any happier.

Hugs,
Cathy

Hi Debra,

How’ve you been? Sorry I took such a long time to talk to you but I’ve been enjoying Cookie and Pebbles more than I imagined. You know, what started out as a pet for my daughter, turned into an extra one for me but I have not regretted it one bit!! I just want to say thanks to you for making the process as smooth as it was. My daughter found you through her own search and from that point of contact until now, you have been really there for us with all our pre and post purchase questions and made it well worth driving all the way from Ft Lauderdale to get our bunnies!

Since I brought home the girls, they have been real sweethearts, very low maintenance and fun to cuddle with. Stephanie just cannot get enough of them...infact they have us all in love. I find they have very different personalities and they let me know it. Cookie, who is the bossier of the two follows me around if I let her and is into everything. She loves carrots and lettuce (she's very choosy) and hates when her bed is dirty...really! She tosses it around in the cage until Stephanie cleans it. Then when it's done, she plops down in it with not even so much as a peep after that....sooo cute!! Pebbles on the other hand is really low key, likes to be left alone, comes out only for skipping exercises and kisses (she loves to kiss), then eats everything I give her. They're also jumping on the couch now...becoming big girls!!

Thanks so much Debra for all your help and interest. A big part of my decision to own our Holland Lops, was your care and dedication throughout the whole process and even afterward. When I got to see you with your animals, I knew then that for you this is a 'work of heart' and I'd chosen the right person. Thanks so much.
I have attached some pictures for you to see, hope you get them. Please let me know and I will re-send.

Hi Debra,
Just wanted to say thanks again for the 2 wonderful bunnies. We love them already!! They are getting settled in nicely in their new cage. I love to watch them go around checking everything out. If I hear of anyone looking for bunnies....I'll send them your way!! You do a nice job with them, and as someone who has seen alot of rabbitrys...yours is very well kept.

                                                                                            Thanks again,
                                                                                                   mike

Hey!!
Things are going really well. Not problems yet. They are great bunnies!!! Thanks so much & I have recommended you to others. I know there are a lot of pictures but I think you will enjoy them. You can pick one out & post it if you like. They are sweet bunnies. I have come very attached to them.

God Bless
Brandie

 Hello,

Bunnies are doing great. Danielle named the black/white one Dottie
Dewdrop(Dottie) and the liver/white one Dimples Chubby Cheeks(Dimples).
We got the names from one of the sites you told us about. We LOVE them.
They come in the house every day now for a while since Danielle is out
of school and are also let out on the screened porch to run around. They
definitely have different personalities but are getting along well
together. My cats don't pay them any mind. With this heat I leave the
ceiling fan on for them during the day and we put out a half-gallon jug
of frozen water for them to lay against. I have given them carrots and
celery so far in addition to their regular food and hay. I noticed that
the carrots make their urine orange though. I hope this is normal. I
just switched them to Nutrena food recently because I wasn't sure about
the quality of what I had gotten at Marietta Feed and what you sent home
with us seemed to be better quality too. Do they need any other kind of
supplements or a mineral wheel? They use their litter box well, but they
sure do fill it up fast. I got some of the corn cob to put in it but it
isn't very absorbent so I started adding white sand at the bottom to
soak up some of the urine because they pee so much. That helps a little
but I would be interested in something a little better if you have any
ideas. I'd still use the corn cob on top in case they try to eat it. I
would like to know of a vet that deals with rabbits regularly in case my
vet doesn't. There is no problem, but I'd like to know for future
reference in case something comes up. They aren't really chewing on the
wood chews that we got for them so that concerns me some since I know
that their teeth grow constantly. Do you suggest any kind of vet
maintenance in that regard? I'm glad you emailed me because I was
getting around to contacting you with some of these questions.
Thanks, Rachel

Hey Debra!

It's Kayla, i got a broken blue mini rex bunny from you back in April and I told you I would update you on how he is doing, so I'm e-mailing you some pictures to show you how much he's grown! He is doing just wonderful, it took him about 2 days to get used to me lol! He would come up and scatch on my feet and sniff me. He is such a sweet and adventurous bunny. I'm so glad to have him apart of my life, I knew i picked the right bunny when i saw him. So I've attached some pictures of him that i took just today :)

 sincerely,
Kayla Bramel

Hey there!!  Just giving you an update on Oakey; our

little man...lol!  He has adjusted beautifully and is
great with Eden, our two year old.  Oakey is using the
little box and really doing good learning.  He loves
to cuddle and falls asleep in my husbands arms most
nights...lol...he is definately spoiled!  Thank you so
much for our little edition to the Crews family.

Kellina

He is doing wonderful! Thank you for such a sweet little boy! He's taken up residence very comfortably. We've named him Bailey and he has quite a funny little personality! I'm trying to litter train him, but he's having none of that -- he's decided the litter box is a bed. LOL! Thankfully, it has a wire bottom over the litter pan, so he's not laying in the icky litter I keep putting in there in hopes that he'll recognize the scent and use it for it's intended purpose. I never litter trained any of my rabbits growing up, so it's a new experience for me -- I keep doing what all the books & websites say (put the litter pan in his chosen potty corner and put some of the icky litter in it so he'll recognize the scent and use it), but he's adamant that every time I move the box (which I have moved twice now), he's gonna pee in the opposite corner. LOL. He's an absolute sweetheart and LOVES attention. Anytime you get within about ten feet of his cage, he comes up to the front and as soon as we open either of the doors on the cage, he is right there butting his head in and demanding to be petted. He also likes to climb up over my shoulders when I'm on the couch and stretch out behind my head, LOL.

When is a good time to start offering treats and toys and the like? I know you said to wait a while before giving him anything besides bunny food, but now I can't remember just how long you said to wait. I let him play with a toilet paper tube for a little while the other day, which he seemed to really enjoy throwing around, but I took it out of his cage once he stopped playing with it and just started trying to eat it.
Thank you again for this adorable, sweet bunny! :)

HEY!  I'm so glad you contacted me because I lost your email and web address.  Phew! Things are great!  We have so much fun with him.  The first day we got him home, he was, as I expected, very timid.  We left him alone to run around and to our surprise it didn't take him long to get comfortable.  He wasn't drinking or eating for the first couple of hours but he got over that and now he eats, drinks, hops around, and poops non-stop.  I thought litter training would be difficult but he started using the litter box the same day we got him!  Oh, and we've decided to name him Chubbs.  It was only fitting since he's such a chubby looking little thing.  We keep his little home in the only carpeted area of the house.  So far, he's not very fond of the wood floors, so he likes to stay in his carpeted area.  He will come to us when we come near his area and call out his name.  He's very loving and we adore him.  We're very lucky to have such a spunky and bright little bunny.  Thank you again.

Catherine

Debra,
the bunny is doing well. i had just been concerned regarding her being so "relaxed". she is definetly accustomed to her surroundings. she loves to lay around in her cage. but if that door is open, she has realized "freedom". this rabbit was so easy to litter train. she was trained after the first time i put her droppings in the box. she does mess every now and then in the house, but they are just the poop. she has mastered peeing in the box. she was so much easier that the last rabbit we had. and has doubled in size! just thought i would let you know. pics will be soon to follow.

heather

wow love the rabbit he is pretty and loves to hop everywhere and loves for you to talk to him and he will sit there and listen to you it is funny,  well thanks alot for the rabbit and i will keep you posted....

Chris

MAX IS DOING JUST FINE AND HAS ADAPTED VERY WELL WITH HIS NEW FAMILY. HE CAN EAT LIKE A HORSE AND IT COMES OUT THE OTHER END JUST AS FAST. HE HAS A GREAT PERSONALITY AND LOVES THE BACK PORCH WHERE HE CAN HOP ALL AROUND. HERE ARE TWO PICS OF HIM AND THE GIRLS. STILL WANT ANOTHER DOE SO WE WILL BE BACK IN TOUCH.

"Cinnamon is doing so wonderful! She's starting to get comfortable during play time on the patio, and loves laying with me on the couch. Her and Sloan are still seperate, he's being a little aggressive towards her and she's still so small, but I'm hoping in a few weeks he'll finally get over it and they can be sweeties. It was so hard having to choose that day, I can honestly tell how much you care for all the babies, but I know we made the right choice for us. Thanks so much for everything! -Heather"

Hi Debra,

Just a quick note to let you know how Sprinkles is doing. We adore her and she is very sweet. She got spayed last August and did really well with the surgery. We let her out to run around and she gives kisses and plays!Thank you for our sweet little bunny!

Brian, Jennifer, Aaron, Aidan and Ainsley

Hi.  Just wanted to update you on Prince Charming.  He's a great pet.  Just so loving and friendly.  He's now walking on his leash and absolutely loves it.  He gets in high gear, rests then makes a high hop and takes off again.  They kids love it.  They like taking him around on it.  Here's one of his latest pics.
Thanks!
Angie

I wanted to thank you for the bunny you sold me. Mr Bogart is his name and he is very comfortable. I enjoy taking him to work with me in a little pet carrier and he even has a basket car seat. I don't know if the cold weather is bad for him so instead of leaving him in the outside cage at night, he stays in the guest bathtub with his ammenities. I wanted you to know how much i enjoy him and that he is very healthy and spoiled. Thanks , Julie

She is doing just great getting fat and loves life.
She has a great personality and mackenzie is her
favorite person. She will spend hours in the bathroom
playing with her. I will talk a couple pics of her and
send them to you. She has gotten big in the last
couple of months.
Stacy

The bunny is doing wonderfully! She has adjusted to her new home and is so sweet. I couldn't have asked for a better bunny. We are in the process of litter training her and she is already catching on! It's great. Thanks so much!
Brittany

He's doing great.  He's become a tough lil guy with my 2yr old and Abby
never seems to leave him alone.  He has a little route he takes when hopping
around the house.  Just a sweet lil guy, he wants to be with someone at all
times instead of in his cage.  Which is fine cause he's out of it when Abby
gets home from school.  My 2 yr old helps feed him in the mornings and clean
his cage.  He also loves to hop around outside in his pen we got for him.
He also follows me around the house.  Very sweet and has made the perfect
pet for the girls.
Here's a pic of Abby with him watching tv in her room.
Thanks & Merry Christmas!
Angie

Debra has some beautiful baby bunnies that are up for adoption! I have already bought one from her and am buying another one as well as my co-workers. She takes very good care of them and they are beautiful and are very healthy. Don't go to a pet sore and buy one, when you could buy one from her.
She treats her bunnies like babies.
Thanks,
Ryan

hi debra-he is doing great, very sweet and I am absolutely in love with him.I
ended up naming him"Onyx".Thanks for checking on him.I'm glad you wrote because
Shay had asked me if I emailed you yesterday about her little white bunny she
wanted. So could this email serve as that to put a hold on that one for her.She
for sure wants her.I also wanted to ask about the red ones we saw those babies
are they already spoken for?Just curious...I thought both parents were really
beautiful.
Kim

Prince Charming is doing great.  He settled in with the family immediately
and has been litter trained when it comes to urinating.  Doing pretty good
with the pooping too but still needs a little work there.  I know he'll
still leave some pellets around here & there.  He sleeps in his cage on the
back porch, which is enclosed.  He lays in bed with my girls and watches tv.
They both love to hold him and pet him.  He loves the attention.  I will
send pics soon.  I referred you to my neighbor who wants to now buy one for
her grandkids.
Thanks so much!
Angie

We love the bunny, Niki.  She is so much fun and just adorable.  I can't believe that I didn't want her to get that one.  She is the best pet we have.  I promise to take pictures soon and send you one.  We have a ton but not on the digital camera.

Thanks again,

Jeni

I have become addicted to this this breed.  I love the two bunnies that we bought from you.  They are so docile. Please keep me in mind.  Call asap if either comes up in a litter.  I've been on your website.  I love it.  I'll be sending pics and an endorsement for it soon.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Thanks,

Allison

Hello!
Im sorry it took me so long to respond we were on vaction, and the
rabbit came along! We have named him Pipkin a rabbit from one of my favorite
books. He is doing great, he is now fully potty trained and is living inside
intill the heat spell is broken. Pipkin is always running all around the
house and loves to pet and played with! Pipkin's favorite thing is for me to
hold him on his back and stroke his belly, something I never thought a
rabbit would like! Pipkin is healthy, and very happy!
Thanks for checking in,
Bess

They are doing great. They are still little guys and girl. The boys still
play with them daily. They have taken on their own personalities. It is so
funny. Max the fawn mini rex is an adventurer. He loves to explore when we
hold him in the house. Ruby the girl mini rex is timid but very sweet. She is
so petite. Fluffy the mini lop is a big baby. Riley holds him on his back all
the time and he just sits there. He is the most docile of the three. Thanks
for checking on us. Take care.

Sonya

Debra,

Just wanted to thank you for your time last night. The boys love the bunnies
and everyone is adjusting well. We let the bunnies sleep inside last night.
They are so cute. The mini lop's name is Fluffy, the mini rex male is Max, and
the mini rex female is Ruby. They seem happy and curious about their
surroundings. I'll keep you posted on how they are. If you are like me you
like to know how they are. Your web site is wonderful by the way. Very
informative. I learned a lot I didn't know. Thanks again.

Customer Reviews: About

I just wanted to say that Debra Saunders has a good heart and soul and love for her animals. I was browsing around on Internet until one day I came across hers and found out she sells bunny rabbits. I used to have a bunny rabbit but I made a mistake of buying one from an auction here in Jacksonville, FL. I couldn't control this bunny, he was too out of control. So I had to get rid of him. I told my boyfriend I wanted to get another rabbit and maybe try and have a good balanced relationship with this rabbit. So we went down to Debra's house and I saw all her bunnies she was taking care of. They were all clean and very well kept. I knew she was an expert on bunny rabbits. So I was looking, I wanted to find the perfect one until I came across this Miniature Rex. He was just too cute. So we got him, took him home and my parents loved him. Ever since then, I've been taking good care of him. He has a wonderful home. I always play with him everyday. We named him smokey because of his color of his fur. He's getting big though, but he's momma's baby :) I love him to death. It's like me and my boyfriend have our own child together except it's an animal -LOL-. We got him for a reasonable price. I couldn't be any happier. I'm so glad I made the right choice in getting a rabbit from someone they know what they're doing. I would recommend Debra to my friends and family if someone I know wanted to have a pet bunny. I never though my rabbit would be very well maintained. He's so calm, he loves to throw his toys around the cage, he eats like a pig LOL and he loves laying in my lap whenever I bring him inside from the summer heat. He's just too cute and I'm so glad to have wonderful friendship with not only the woman who sold the bunny to me but to have a wonderful relationship with my pet bunny Smokey.
Thank You once again Debra for giving me and Danny a wonderful pet that we can take care of together!!! Hope to do business again soon!! Take care.

Debra, Cody is doing really good, almost 6 months old. He is so sweet and
loveable. He loves to jump up on the couch and relax with me, not so big on
being held for to long, but loves to be petted. He has such a fun loving
personality. He plays cards with me, helps me tear up my junk mail and not to
mention, but he gives the best bunny kisses ever. He is just so much fun to
play with. He is my first bunny and I love him so much! Thanks, Jennifer

Hi,

Just wanted to update you on how my sweet little boy is doing. He went to the vet and he was a whopping 1 pound! Everyone there thought he was just so cute and tiny. He is really adapting well here. When I let him out in the x-pen he runs to where I am when I come in the room and follows me around. He is easy to pick up and LOVES to have his head rubbed and even gave me a sweet kiss on my nose. I have also been trimming his nails so he can get used to it.   I could not be happier with my new boy! Thank you so much :)

HI Debra! I just wanted to let you know how the bunny is doing. He's
settling in very well and seems to be very happy. I went over today and
cleaned out his whole cage. You were right about the carpeting - it wasn't
that he was chewing it tho, but that it wasn't really absorbing the water
drips from his bottle or his urine, and so was leavng wet spots, even with
hay all over it. Its out of there now and I'll have to figure something else
out, but for now I covered his cage floor with some absorbant recycled paper
bedding and hay. He loves to rearrange all his stuff and he's got more toys
than the cats! When we let him out to run around he bounces all over and
kicks his little feet and seems absolutely thrilled with all the space. He
cuddles up on my dad's tummy and chews on his beard which is SO cute!! My
father is really very very happy with him and has named him Blu. Which I
tend to rename as Blu-Boo. I think its going to be a very good thing for
dad, and seems to make him smile.
Thank you! He is absolutely wonderful and Mom is going to get a kick out of him. I told her yesterday that he was here and she is excited to see him and asked tons of questions about his personallity. I doubt he minds, but until she gets home he gets to sleep with me and he is a great bed mate. No eating anything, going potty or anything wrong at all while he is on the bed or being held. He waits for his box already. How perfect is that!?!?

He's doing wonderfully!  He is the sweetest, most adorable bunny ever and very smart, he actually comes when I call him, if he isn't doing something more interesting ; )  You are a very good breeder, I am really impressed with how sweet natured he is.
Thanks so much,
Ariel

We just wanted to write and let you know that we really enjoyed meeting you today and getting to see all of your beautiful animals.  My children are so in love with their new babies they want everyone to see them.  They can't wait until we get to go back to your house to pick up our other little doe when she is born and ready to join our other 2.  Well, thanks again and just drop us a line when the babies arrive. Talk to you soon, God Bless, Kylie, Kevin and Zachary, Alexas, and Mackenzie

Since I had a cage…Meet Al…

Master Johnson

Last month I wrote a short article about my pet bunny. Many of the students remembered Bill and there were a surprising number of expressions of sympathy expressed. I had several students make the comment that I should follow up the article with one about Al, my new bunny.

The day after Bill went to bunny heaven, my wife mentioned that it would be a good idea if we just did not get another. But we had a cage! So I thought about it for a few minutes then decided that I deserved another bunny. The thing was the breeder I had used previously was no longer in the bunny expansion business. So, after a disappointing trip through the paper, I went on line and that is where I met Debra.

It seemed that the closest certified breeder for dwarf rabbits was in Middleburg. When I contacted her I found that she had one male left from her newest litter and he would be ready to take home in three weeks. After telling her I was very interested, she sent me a picture on line and I sent her a confirmation within minutes and named him Al. I planned to use the three weeks to work on my wife and make some changes in my cage set up.

Sunday, after church, I drove out to South Middleburg and found Debra on a clay road, just off SR 21. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the area and the obvious care she took with all of the animals. That included one little bunny that had been injured soon after birth and would not be a ‘marketable product’. I had the opportunity to meet Al’s mom and dad, buck and doe, and learn some interesting facts about the bunny breeding business.

When I left, Debra had me take some of the food he had been eating, a copy of his certification and a promise that I would send a picture from time to time. The first thing I noticed was just how much more loving Al was. He absolutely loved to be held and petted. When I mention this to Debra, she said that was because she held them every day from birth and let her children hold them after they were two weeks old.

Al is now almost three months old and had not only won over my wife, but everyone that has met him. If anyone is ever interested in a bunny as a pet, let me introduce you to my newest friend, Debra, the bunny lady from Middleburg.

Customer Reviews: About Us

First off, here are my thoughts for a comment page.
My 10 year old daughter, Becca, had prayed for a bunny for over a year and my husband finally softened.  You can imagine how thrilled I was, but my enthusiasm was short lived as I began checking local pet stores.  I wanted a nice little bunny for my "Becca bunny."  What I found in the pet stores were larger bunnies that just didn't measure up.  So began my internet search and I am so glad I found Debra's Bunny Barn!  Right from the start she was helpful and courteous, before I even committed to buying a bunny from her, answering questions and filling in gaps in my knowledge.  Once we made the decisions to purchase a bunny from her we wanted to see pictures, which she provided promptly, and boy were they cute!!  Becca set her heart on a couple from the pictures.  We then had to coordinate our visit, which was complicated by distance and an errand we had to run for someone else, but Debra was flexible and easy-going about the whole thing.  When we arrived at last, my daughter was so excited.  Debra let her hold any of the bunnies she wanted, giving her careful instructions and tid bits of information about the character traits they might be developing.  We made our choice and joyfully returned home.  Our new family member, Sunshine, has taken up residence in Becca's room and brings a smile to our faces each day.  Debra's loving care of her bunnies and sweet disposition made this such a pleasant experience for us all.  Thank you so much, Debra!

Hi Debra,

Hope you and your family had a great Christmas. I wanted to let you know that the bunny that Santa brought has been such a treat for our
whole family! We are so happy with him. He is the most precious and
gentle creature! Olivia (my 6 year old) has named him Whiskers and all
my girls have taken to him. He is doing so well! Just as we predicted, Anne Marie, my 8 year old decided she would like a Netherland Dwarf for her birthday. So we will be looking to adopt in the middle of February. Please let me know what is available or will be available. I would like for her to choose, and we would like a female. It's okay if the timing doesn't fit perfectly, I saw your sight for the upcoming babies. You can email me back with the info. Thanks Debra. Oh, I was really surprised to see Whiskers sleeping on his side. At first glance I thought he had passed away! But when I called his name he stood up, he was soooo relaxed! It really scared me for a moment. Talk
to you soon.

Dear Debra,

I told you I would keep you up on my bunny’s progress. I would include a picture but the last two mornings have been so overcast, but I will send you one by ext week. I told you Al was a tunneler and he has created his own little environment in one half of his cage. He now likes to play hide and seek in his hutch, but not for very long. He’s not good at playing hard to get.

I am sure that this has something to do with the way you handle your rabbits from the start but this is the most affectionate bunny I have ever had. If you call his name as you walk to the cage, he will stand up by the door asking to be held. When you do hold him, he just melts in your arms. He has won over everyone.

Last night he was turned loose for the first time. I cleared the garage floor and let him run loose for about an hour. It was really funny to see him experiment with his speed that he had not been able to do before. He would run out in a little circle going faster and faster, and then kick out to the side. He seemed to be surprised by what he could do and I was beginning to think I would have trouble catching him until he went into the bathroom and I was able to isolate him.

Well, gotta go. I’ll send a picture next week. Love my bunny.

Hello Debra,

I wanted to tell you what a wonderful week it has been since we got our
little netherland dwarf from you last saturday. My daughter is
absolutely in love and i am not far behind! He is finally seeming to
settle down and explore his surroundings. He is incredibly fast and can
jump very high already!

Cynthia Hatfield: Website is wonderful. I purchased a bunny last Christmas for my daughter, Hannah. He is now the love of her life. He is simply wonderful and the sweetest thing on earth. He is in perfect health and has been a wonderful family addition. We owe it all to Debra. Thanks for everything.
